How is this different from the Pipeline Acceleration Sprint?

The sprint fixes one pipeline on a fixed scope. The pod builds and runs the platform underneath all of them — IDP, IaC, golden paths — as an ongoing capability. Many teams run the sprint first, then graduate to the pod.

Do our engineers have to adopt new tools?

The pod builds on mainstream tooling — Terraform, Kubernetes, your cloud and CI provider — and wins adoption by making the golden path genuinely faster than the workaround, not by mandate.

Can this prevent cloud vendor lock-in?

Infrastructure as code and containerized workloads keep workloads portable, and multi-cloud or hybrid patterns are supported where the case is real. Lock-in becomes a choice you make deliberately, not a default you drift into.
