Kubernetes in production is an operating commitment, not a checkbox. This package deploys or migrates a workload onto a production-grade container platform, managed Kubernetes on EKS, AKS, or GKE, with ingress, configuration, autoscaling, observability, and the operational baseline that keeps it healthy. The finish state is workloads running on a cluster your team can confidently operate, upgrade, and debug.

The build uses your cloud's managed control plane and delivers the platform as code: ingress and TLS, resource requests and autoscaling policies, secrets and configuration management, monitoring with sensible alerts, and RBAC that maps to your team structure. Runbooks cover the operations that actually happen: deploys, upgrades, incident triage.

1. Scope: confirm workloads, cloud, cluster architecture, and the operational requirements.
2. Build: stand up the platform as code, migrate workloads, and wire observability and RBAC.
3. Handover: run through operations and failure scenarios with your team, hand over runbooks.

Is Kubernetes overkill for us?

Sometimes, and scoping will say so. For a small workload count, simpler container services may serve better; you get that recommendation honestly rather than a cluster you do not need.

Do our applications need to be containerized first?

Yes. If they are not, the Docker Containerization Package is the precursor; this package starts from working images.

What about deeper observability later?

The baseline covers platform and workload health. Full-stack telemetry across services is the Observability Foundation Sprint, which builds naturally on this platform.
