Overview

Availability targets are cheap to state and expensive to mean. This package upgrades a defined system's architecture to remove the critical single points of failure and highest-impact failure modes standing between it and its availability target. The finish state is redundancy where it matters, failover that has been exercised, and a written account of which failure modes are now survivable and which are consciously accepted.

The sprint starts from failure-mode analysis, not a generic checklist: where does this system actually die, and what does each death cost? Fixes land in impact order, redundant instances and zones, load balancing, database failover, retry and degradation behaviour, and each is verified by inducing the failure it defends against.
