to your stack & domain
GitHub's delegated coding agent that works from issues and tasks and produces pull requests inside GitHub workflows — rolled out and governed by Scrums.com.
How this operator works
every way of working, already decidedOwns the system, not the ticket
Takes end-to-end ownership of a service or surface. Design, delivery, on-call. And is measured on outcomes, not hours.
Embedded, async-first, instrumented
Works inside your repos, your CI and your rituals. Daily written standups, decisions logged. No status-meeting tax.
Runbooks, canaries, reversible deploys
Every change gated and reversible. Incidents get a timeline and a postmortem; nothing ships without a rollback.
Plugged into your Slack & rituals
Joins standups and retros, reports weekly against the goal. You get an operator, not a queue.
Brings a pre-wired stack or adopts yours
Infrastructure and observability as code by default. No bespoke setup tax to absorb.
Scoped, gated, reversible
Week-1 shadow, week-2 ownership, swap on request inside the trial window. No long-tail handover risk.
Overview
The GitHub Copilot coding agent is the delegated-work mode of GitHub Copilot. A developer assigns an issue or task to Copilot; the agent spins up a GitHub-hosted environment, explores the repository, implements the change, and opens a draft pull request — recording how it worked so reviewers can follow its steps. It then iterates on review comments like a teammate would.
Through Scrums.com, the coding agent is rolled out as part of a governed GitHub workflow. Scrums.com delivery teams enable it on the right repositories, integrate it with your issue and review process, and govern which work it takes on — tracked on the SEOP.
What it does
Issue-to-PR delegation
Assign an issue or task to Copilot and the agent takes it from description to a proposed code change, without a developer driving each step.
Sandboxed GitHub-hosted execution
The agent works in an isolated, GitHub-managed environment with access to the repository, keeping its execution separate from developer machines.
Draft PRs with session logs
Output arrives as a draft pull request, with the agent's session available to review, so humans can inspect both the change and how it was made.
Iteration on review feedback
Reviewers leave comments on the PR and the agent responds with follow-up commits, staying inside the normal GitHub review loop.
Deploying it with Scrums.com
- Scope. Scrums.com assesses fit against your GitHub workflows and governance requirements, and selects the repositories and task types in scope.

Commercial availability
The coding agent is a commercial feature of GitHub Copilot, sold by GitHub within paid Copilot plans. Scrums.com supports procurement as part of a deployment — licensing is with GitHub; Scrums.com delivers the workflow integration and governance.
FAQs
How is this different from Copilot code completion?
Completion assists a developer as they type. The coding agent is delegated an issue and produces a pull request on its own, which the team then reviews.
What access does a deployment need?
Copilot licensing on a plan that includes the agent, plus the agent enabled on the repositories in scope. Scrums.com configures repository and policy settings during integration.
How is its work kept safe?
The agent works in an isolated environment and its changes arrive as draft pull requests behind your branch protections, reviews and CI. Scrums.com configures those controls and reports outcomes on the SEOP.
