Software Development Teams and Engineering Talent Across Africa

Engineering teams and vetted talent across Africa from our three African hubs in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Nairobi, for African companies and for global teams building with African engineers.

02

How Scrums.com serves Africa

Scrums.com has operated engineering in Africa since 2012 and runs three of its five hubs on the continent: Johannesburg, Cape Town and Nairobi. From those hubs we serve African companies across Southern, East and West Africa, and global companies that want to build with African engineers in time zones that overlap Europe fully and the US East Coast morning. Engagements run as dedicated development teams, staff augmentation or scoped delivery plans, all governed on the Scrums.com platform so delivery metrics, backlog and spend are identical wherever the team sits. African delivery is strongest in fintech and payments, telecoms, retail and e-commerce, and enterprise modernisation for banks and insurers, and routinely includes mobile-money and pan-African payments integrations. Countries without a hub, including Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Namibia and Botswana, are served remotely from the nearest hub.

Engineering capabilities available

Services and talent categories we deliver for Africa teams. Every capability links to its hub; pricing is on the platform.

04

How engagement works

  1. 01

Remote-first delivery, operated on the Scrums.com platform: one workspace for backlog, delivery metrics and governance, with DORA-based reporting from the first sprint.

  2. 02

Engagement models: a dedicated development team, staff augmentation into your own team, or a scoped delivery plan from the catalog. First sprint typically starts within 21 days.

  3. 03

Governance you keep: role-based access, audit trails and delivery analytics on the platform; SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 controls; NDAs and DPAs as standard.

  4. 04

Time-zone overlap is planned into every team: core working hours are agreed at onboarding and reviewed each sprint.
