to your stack & domain
Sourcegraph's agentic coding environment for implementing, debugging and reasoning across software repositories — integrated into your stack and governed by Scrums.com.
How this operator works
every way of working, already decidedOwns the system, not the ticket
Takes end-to-end ownership of a service or surface. Design, delivery, on-call. And is measured on outcomes, not hours.
Embedded, async-first, instrumented
Works inside your repos, your CI and your rituals. Daily written standups, decisions logged. No status-meeting tax.
Runbooks, canaries, reversible deploys
Every change gated and reversible. Incidents get a timeline and a postmortem; nothing ships without a rollback.
Plugged into your Slack & rituals
Joins standups and retros, reports weekly against the goal. You get an operator, not a queue.
Brings a pre-wired stack or adopts yours
Infrastructure and observability as code by default. No bespoke setup tax to absorb.
Scoped, gated, reversible
Week-1 shadow, week-2 ownership, swap on request inside the trial window. No long-tail handover risk.
Overview
Amp is Sourcegraph's agentic coding tool. It takes on development tasks — implementing features, fixing bugs, reasoning about unfamiliar code — and works through them autonomously: reading the repository, editing files, running commands and tests, and iterating until the change holds up. Amp is available from the command line and in editor integrations, and its agent threads can be shared so teams can see how a change was produced.
Through Scrums.com, Amp is deployed as part of a governed engineering workflow. Scrums.com delivery teams roll it out across your repositories and pipelines, integrate it with your review process, and govern its use — tracked on the SEOP.
What it does
Agentic multi-file implementation
Amp takes a task and carries out coordinated edits across the repository, rather than producing isolated suggestions.
Command and test execution
The agent runs builds, tests and other commands as part of its loop, using the results to verify and correct its work.
CLI and editor workflows
Developers drive Amp from the terminal or from editor integrations, fitting it into the workflow they already have.
Shareable agent threads
Agent sessions can be shared, giving teams a record of how a change was reasoned out and produced.
Deploying it with Scrums.com
- Scope. Scrums.com assesses fit against your workflows, codebase and governance requirements, and defines where Amp is used.
- Integrate. Scrums.com engineers wire Amp into your repositories, pipelines and tooling, with guardrails on scope and permissions.
- Operate. Usage runs under governance, with usage and outcome reporting via the SEOP.
Commercial availability
Amp is a commercial coding agent sold by Sourcegraph, with usage-based pricing and team options. Scrums.com supports procurement as part of a deployment — licensing is with Sourcegraph; Scrums.com delivers integration and governance.
FAQs
How is Amp different from code search or autocomplete?
Search and autocomplete assist a developer doing the work. Amp executes the task itself — reading, editing, running and verifying — and returns a finished change for review.
What access does a deployment need?
Amp access for the developers in scope plus repository access for the codebases it works on; CI visibility helps it verify changes. Scrums.com scopes permissions during integration.
How is its output governed?
Changes flow through your normal branch, review and CI gates. Scrums.com configures guardrails on agent use and reports usage and outcomes on the SEOP.
