That's why we've built the Domain Name Discovery API. We've processed over half a million whois lookups over the years to find undiscovered domain names that might be valuable. This API is the result of our years of experience, and we hope everyone will benefit from it.

How does Domain Name Discovery API work?

The Domain Name Discovery API just needs a search term to operate. It analyzes the search term and suggests the best domain name candidates using various techniques:

• It appends and prepends the most frequently used terms (over 20,000) in the English dictionary, applying a text-merging algorithm called portmanteau to generate trendy and memorable words that don't exist in the English dictionary.
• With the help of AI, the API detects plurals, nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs, and automatically handles, prepends, and appends words accordingly.
• It uses a large dictionary of popular suffixes, such as ly, lytics, let, ist, and ify, to discover cool domains.

We want to leave positive feelings on the people who interact with our brand. The API performs sentiment analysis to predict the overall feeling of the generated domain names and eliminate the negative ones. This is a unique feature that is only possible with this API.

Automated Whois lookup

Once possible domain names are generated, the API performs actual whois lookups on those domain candidates and identifies which ones are available. This is done on our servers, and thanks to our huge number of servers, the whois lookups on thousands of domain names will be finished in just seconds. You don't need to worry about scalability and rate limits.

Please note that, due to its complex procedures, it may take 20-30 seconds to generate names and perform whois lookups before sending the results back to you. We are constantly working on enhancing it.

Privacy and security

Except for obvious legal purposes, we do not store any information on our servers. We only take the search parameter you provided and generate the list of available domain names you can use for your next business.

You can provide which TLDs to search for with the tlds parameter. Supported TLDs out of the box are: 'com', 'me', 'net', 'org', 'io', 'co', 'club', 'biz', 'mobi', 'info', 'us'.
