The UAE Technology Innovation Institute's Falcon family provides open-weight models across sizes, from compact edge models to larger general models, free to self-host.

How this operator works

every way of working, already decided
A · capability focus

Owns the system, not the ticket

Takes end-to-end ownership of a service or surface. Design, delivery, on-call. And is measured on outcomes, not hours.

B · ways of working

Embedded, async-first, instrumented

Works inside your repos, your CI and your rituals. Daily written standups, decisions logged. No status-meeting tax.

C · reliability posture

Runbooks, canaries, reversible deploys

Every change gated and reversible. Incidents get a timeline and a postmortem; nothing ships without a rollback.

D · comms & cadence

Plugged into your Slack & rituals

Joins standups and retros, reports weekly against the goal. You get an operator, not a queue.

E · tooling

Brings a pre-wired stack or adopts yours

Infrastructure and observability as code by default. No bespoke setup tax to absorb.

F · onboarding

Scoped, gated, reversible

Week-1 shadow, week-2 ownership, swap on request inside the trial window. No long-tail handover risk.

Overview

Falcon is the open model family from the Technology Innovation Institute, the Abu Dhabi research institute. The family spans compact models that run on modest hardware up to larger general-purpose models, released as open weights under TII's permissive license.

Through Scrums.com, delivery teams integrate Falcon models into your products and agent stack - usually self-hosted or via a hosting provider. They wire the models into your pipelines with evals and guardrails, and track usage, cost and outcomes on the SEOP.

·

What it does

Open-weight availability

Falcon weights are downloadable and deployable without a vendor contract, under TII's permissive license terms.

Range of model sizes

The family covers small models for edge and cost-sensitive serving through larger models for general workloads.

Multilingual capability

Falcon models are trained with multilingual coverage, including strong Arabic and European language support.

Efficient architectures

Recent family members use efficiency-focused designs that lower the hardware needed for a given capability level.

·

Deploying it with Scrums.com

  1. Scope. Scrums.com assesses model fit for your use cases, together with your data, residency and compliance requirements.
  2. Integrate. Scrums.com engineers wire the provider's models into your products, pipelines and agents, with evals and guardrails.
  3. Operate. The deployment runs under governance, with usage, cost and quality reporting via the SEOP.
·

Commercial availability

Falcon models are open weights under the TII Falcon license; there is no vendor fee for self-hosting. Hosted consumption is available through cloud marketplaces and inference providers on usage-based terms contracted with those providers. Scrums.com delivers the integration.

·

FAQs

Are Falcon models open weights or hosted API?

Open weights first. The family is published for download under TII's permissive license, and several cloud and inference providers also offer hosted Falcon endpoints.

What does a deployment need?

For self-hosting: GPU or capable CPU infrastructure and a serving stack. For hosted use: an account with the cloud or inference provider serving the model. No TII account is required.

Where does my data flow?

Self-hosted Falcon keeps all data inside your infrastructure. With a hosted provider, data flows under that provider's terms. Scrums.com configures the deployment path with you and reports operation via the SEOP.
