to your stack & domain
Factory's software-development agent that plans, writes, tests and ships code from natural-language tasks — integrated into your delivery flow and governed by Scrums.com.
How this operator works
every way of working, already decidedOwns the system, not the ticket
Takes end-to-end ownership of a service or surface. Design, delivery, on-call. And is measured on outcomes, not hours.
Embedded, async-first, instrumented
Works inside your repos, your CI and your rituals. Daily written standups, decisions logged. No status-meeting tax.
Runbooks, canaries, reversible deploys
Every change gated and reversible. Incidents get a timeline and a postmortem; nothing ships without a rollback.
Plugged into your Slack & rituals
Joins standups and retros, reports weekly against the goal. You get an operator, not a queue.
Brings a pre-wired stack or adopts yours
Infrastructure and observability as code by default. No bespoke setup tax to absorb.
Scoped, gated, reversible
Week-1 shadow, week-2 ownership, swap on request inside the trial window. No long-tail handover risk.
Overview
Factory Droid is Factory's software-development agent. Given a natural-language task, a Droid plans the work, writes and modifies code in the target repositories, runs tests to verify the change, and ships the result as a reviewable pull request. Droids can be driven from the terminal or Factory's platform and slot into existing engineering tools rather than replacing them.
Through Scrums.com, Droids operate as a governed part of your delivery flow. Scrums.com delivery teams deploy them against your repositories and pipelines, integrate them with your ticketing and review workflows, and govern their output — tracked on the SEOP.
What it does
Task planning from natural language
A Droid takes a written task, breaks it into a plan, and surfaces the plan before or as it executes, keeping the human in the loop on approach.
Code implementation across repos
The agent makes the code changes the task requires, working with the context of the repositories it is pointed at.
Test-verified changes
Droids run builds and tests as part of their loop, using the results to verify and correct changes before handing them over.
Delivery through your dev tools
Output arrives through your normal tools — branches and pull requests in your source-control platform — so review and CI apply as usual.

Commercial availability
Factory Droid is sold by Factory as a commercial SaaS product, with enterprise plans for larger organisations. Scrums.com supports procurement as part of a deployment — licensing is with Factory; Scrums.com delivers integration and governance.
FAQs
How is a Droid different from an in-editor assistant?
An in-editor assistant helps a developer type faster. A Droid is delegated a task and carries it from plan to tested pull request, with the developer reviewing the result.
What access does a deployment need?
Repository access for the codebases in scope, CI visibility, and connections to the ticketing or chat tools Droids are driven from. Scrums.com scopes permissions during integration.
How is Droid output governed?
All changes land as pull requests behind your review and CI gates. Scrums.com configures guardrails on what Droids may touch and reports usage and outcomes on the SEOP.
