Overview
Cursor Agent is the agent mode of Cursor, the AI code editor. Given a task, it works across the repository with awareness of the codebase: it plans, makes multi-file edits, runs commands and tests, and iterates until the change works. Agents can run interactively in the editor or as background runs in the cloud, so work continues while developers do something else.
Through Scrums.com, Cursor Agent is rolled out as part of your engineering operation. Scrums.com delivery teams deploy it across your team, integrate it with your repositories and review workflows, and govern how agent-produced changes reach production — tracked on the SEOP.
What it does
Repository-aware multi-file edits
The agent indexes and reasons over the codebase, so a single task can produce coherent edits across many files rather than isolated snippets.
Editor and cloud agent runs
Developers can drive the agent interactively inside Cursor, or hand tasks to cloud agents that work in the background and return finished changes.
Command and test execution
The agent runs terminal commands, builds and tests as part of its loop, using the results to verify and correct its own changes.
Iterative debugging
Given a failing behaviour, the agent investigates, proposes a fix, applies it, and re-runs checks until the issue is resolved or escalated.
