The Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Scrums.com talent network. You will turn raw operational data into insights that drive business decisions for international clients. This role leans heavily on process mining and business intelligence, with Celonis experience as a strong differentiator.

What You Will Work On

Analyse operational and transactional data to surface process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Celonis, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple source systems
Conduct root cause analysis and present findings to client stakeholders
Define KPIs and build measurement frameworks that track business outcomes
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability

What We Look For

4+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
Celonis experience (process mining, PQL, analysis modules) is a strong advantage
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Proficiency with at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Celonis dashboards)
Ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences
Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis is a plus

Johannesburg is the commercial centre of South Africa and home to the largest concentration of tech companies on the continent. This role is open to engineers based in or willing to relocate to the Johannesburg metro area. You will work remotely with international clients during UK or US business hours, with occasional in-person collaboration as needed.
