The Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Scrums.com talent network. In this role you will be deployed into client projects where you bridge the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams. You will own requirements gathering, process mapping, and delivery coordination for software products built by distributed teams.

What You Will Work On

Translate business objectives into detailed functional and non-functional requirements
Map existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose system-level improvements
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with client stakeholders across timezones
Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow documentation that engineering teams can build from
Manage requirement traceability through the delivery lifecycle
Support UAT planning and coordinate feedback loops between clients and delivery teams

What We Look For

4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on software delivery projects
Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process modelling (BPMN or similar), and stakeholder management
Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, or equivalent
Experience working with distributed or remote teams is a strong advantage

Johannesburg is the commercial centre of South Africa and home to the largest concentration of tech companies on the continent. This role is open to engineers based in or willing to relocate to the Johannesburg metro area. You will work remotely with international clients during UK or US business hours, with occasional in-person collaboration as needed.
