Responsibilities
Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and testing strategies based on project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with stakeholders to define test scope, priorities, and timelines.
Test Execution and Management: Lead the execution of test cases and closely monitor the testing progress. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of test cycles and adherence to quality standards.
Defect Management: Implement efficient defect tracking and management processes. Review and validate reported defects, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
Test Automation and Tooling: Evaluate and implement suitable test automation frameworks and tools. Identify test cases suitable for automation and guide the QA Automation team in developing automated test scripts.
Performance Testing: Plan and conduct performance testing to assess the software's scalability, responsiveness, and stability under varying load conditions.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and issues during the testing process and collaborate with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team, focusing on refining testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
Test Documentation: Review and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA testers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent testing practices across the team.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on software quality.
Requirements
Experience: At least 4-6 years of experience as a QA Tester, with a strong track record of leading testing efforts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in test automation tools and frameworks. In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, including regression testing, performance testing, and security testing.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team of QA testers. Ability to take ownership of testing projects and drive them to successful completion.
Analytical Thinking: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify complex issues and propose effective solutions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate test strategies, findings, and recommendations to various stakeholders.
