Our client, a fast-growing payments technology company, is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with a current AWS certification to own and evolve their cloud infrastructure. This person will be responsible for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and security posture across AWS environments supporting a high-availability platform. Strong candidates bring production experience with containerization, automation-first thinking, and comfort operating in a regulated, uptime-critical environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation)
Own CI/CD pipeline architecture and deployment automation
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, etc.)
Drive security best practices across cloud environments (IAM, secrets management, compliance)
Support containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS)
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, deployment velocity, and incident response

Experience and education

Active AWS certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer Professional, or SysOps Administrator)
3+ years in a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure role
Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, or Go)
Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tooling
CI/CD tooling experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
Kubernetes/container orchestration experience
Payments, fintech, or PCI-DSS environment experience is a strong plus
