DORA metrics are four measures of software delivery performance identified by the DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) program. They are the only widely adopted engineering metrics with a research-validated correlation to organizational performance. The four metrics split into two pairs. Deployment frequency and lead time for changes measure throughput. Change failure rate and time to restore service measure stability. High-performing teams improve both pairs together. The platform derives all four metrics from version control, CI/CD, deployment and incident signals in the tools you connect through integrations. No manual reporting is needed. The metrics are team-level and system-level signals; do not use them to rank individual engineers. They sit alongside the workflow, quality and capacity signals described in Team observability, and feed developer productivity and engineering capacity planning. View DORA Metrics on www.scrums.com →
