The Custom Integration Hub replaces point-to-point integration sprawl with one owned layer. Each external system — CRM, ERP, payments, logistics, messaging — gets a connector; your product talks to the hub's canonical models; and cross-cutting concerns live in one place: credentials, retries, rate limiting, logging, and monitoring. The finish state is the hub in production with your first two or three connectors migrated onto it and a proven pattern for adding the next one in days, not weeks.
