Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain web applications using Angular, contributing across the full development lifecycle including design, planning, development and deployment.
Take ownership of assigned work, applying sound judgement to estimate, plan and deliver code independently and reliably.
Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code and thorough unit tests to ensure long-term code quality.
Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance across the front-end stack.
Collaborate closely with scrum masters, solution engineers, designers and fellow developers within a small, co-located Agile (Scrum) squad, operating within a Tribe and Chapter model.
Participate actively in brainstorming and ideation, contributing innovative strategies and solutions to complex technical problems.
Work with the team to understand requirements, define solutions and ship new features throughout the development lifecycle.
Build reusable, well-architected web components that support scalability and consistency across the application.
Apply solid API architecture principles and integration protocols, ensuring related security requirements and models are properly addressed.
Contribute to deployment architecture practices, including automated application builds and software configuration management.
Balance innovative, forward-thinking development approaches with pragmatic delivery timelines.
Bring new ideas to the team while remaining open to existing ways of working and understanding the reasoning behind them.

Experience and education

Must-Have

Strong, hands-on technical/software engineering background.
Solid application/software development experience in Angular 10 and above, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
Strong technical understanding of the Angular framework, including subscriptions, promises, pipes, directives, observables, behaviour subjects, services and Angular routing.
Experience writing unit tests using Jasmine, Karma and Protractor.
Experience creating reusable web components.
Solid experience across system and application architecture, design, development, implementation and end-to-end deployment.
Solid understanding of API architecture and related integration protocols, such as REST and JSON web services, along with associated security requirements and models (ASP.NET API experience preferred).
Experience working within integrated system environments.
Experience with re-use and standardisation practices, security considerations, and deployment architecture such as automated application builds and software configuration management tools.
Proven ability as a strong problem-solver.
Self-driven, self-starting, and capable of working independently as a technical leader.
Working experience with Visual Studio Code, Git, Azure DevOps, SonarQube and Nexus.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability.
A passion for software excellence and a quality-driven mindset.
