Responsibilities

Design, build, and own the test automation framework architecture end-to-end, rather than executing predefined scripts
Develop and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
Write and maintain automation scripts in Java, Python, or C#
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Conduct thorough API testing using tools such as Postman and RestAssured
Collaborate closely with an embedded development team to ensure quality is built into production systems from the outset
Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively improve automation strategy and framework scalability

Experience and education

Must-Have

5+ years of experience in automation testing
Proficiency with at least one automation tool: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C#
Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Demonstrated experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured
Proven experience owning or contributing significantly to test framework architecture and design

Advantageous

ISTQB or ISEB certification
