Overview
Use of the Scrums.com platform and services is governed by a Master Services Agreement (MSA) and, for each engagement, a Statement of Work (SOW) or Order Form.
For questions about legal terms, contact your Enablement Partner or legal@scrums.com.
Key documents
Master Services Agreement (MSA) — The overarching agreement governing the relationship between Scrums.com and the client. The MSA covers service standards, liability, IP ownership, confidentiality, and termination. A copy is provided with your Order Form.
Order Form — Used for subscription and product orders, referencing the MSA. Each Order Form specifies the products, pricing, and term of your commitment.
Statement of Work (SOW) — Used for On Demand Solutions and larger custom engagements. Defines the specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and acceptance criteria for a fixed engagement.
NDA — Non-Disclosure Agreement, available in South African and International versions. Executed before engineers access client systems or proprietary data.
Contractual commitments
| Topic | Where covered |
|---|
| IP ownership | MSA + Order Form |
| Confidentiality | NDA + MSA |
| Data protection | Data Processing Agreement (DPA) |
| SLAs and support | MSA by tier |
| Cancellation terms | MSA — minimum 12-month initial term |
| Payment obligations | Order Form |
Change management and SOW amendments
For significant scope changes mid-engagement — such as adding new product features or changing the delivery model — a revised SOW or Change Order is issued. Changes are not incorporated into delivery until the amended document is signed.
