# Vetting and Matching

> Understand the evidence, human review, and delivery requirements used to match engineers to your work.

## Two separate decisions

Vetting assesses whether an engineer demonstrates the required capabilities. Matching evaluates whether a vetted engineer fits your specific role, systems, domain, and working model.

## Matching inputs

* Role and seniority
* Technical evidence and relevant experience
* Industry and regulatory context
* Timezone and communication requirements
* Availability and engagement shape
* Security and environment constraints

AI can help organize evidence and identify potential matches. A person reviews the shortlist and you confirm the final selection.

## Review a shortlist

Use consistent criteria for every candidate. Record required capabilities separately from preferences, assess evidence relevant to the actual work, and avoid using protected characteristics or proxies for them.

After selection, verify identity, contract, access, and onboarding requirements before assigning work.
