# Engineers

> Request individual engineers and specialists who integrate with your existing team, tools, and delivery process.

## When to add an engineer

Add an engineer when you have an established delivery process and need a specific skill or more capacity. You direct day-to-day priorities while Scrums.com supports matching, contracting, onboarding, and replacement.

## Define your request

Include:

* Role, seniority, and core responsibilities
* Required and preferred technologies
* Industry or regulatory experience
* Timezone and collaboration requirements
* Expected start window and duration
* Interview or assessment requirements
* Repository, environment, and data-access constraints

## Selection and onboarding

Scrums.com prepares a matched shortlist for your review. After confirmation, complete access, security, product-context, and working-agreement onboarding before assigning production work.

Use [vetting and matching](/docs/hire/vetting-and-matching) to understand the assessment process.
