# Getting Started Tutorials

> Step-by-step tutorials to help new Scrums.com users get productive quickly.

## Overview

These tutorials walk through the most common first tasks on the Scrums.com platform. Complete them in order for the fastest path to your first sprint.

## Tutorial 1: Add Your First Engineer

1. Navigate to **Teams > Add Engineer**
2. Select your required role (e.g. Software Engineer, QA Engineer, DevOps Engineer)
3. Choose your preferred tech stack and seniority level
4. Submit your request — your Enablement Partner will confirm availability within one business day
5. Once confirmed, the engineer appears in your Teams view and is ready for sprint assignment

## Tutorial 2: Create Your First Project

1. Navigate to **Projects > New Project**
2. Enter a project name, description, and target delivery date
3. Select the delivery model (Dedicated Team, Staff Augmentation, or Managed Delivery)
4. Link the project to your connected Jira board or use the built-in sprint board
5. Assign team members to the project
6. Click **Launch Project** — your first sprint can now be planned

## Tutorial 3: Run Your First Sprint

1. Open your project and navigate to the **Sprint Board**
2. Move backlog items into the **Current Sprint** column
3. Assign items to engineers
4. Set the sprint start and end date (typically two weeks)
5. Click **Start Sprint**
6. Monitor progress in real time from the Dashboard

## Tutorial 4: View Your Delivery Analytics

1. Navigate to **Analytics**
2. Select the project or team you want to analyse
3. Choose a date range
4. Review your DORA metrics, sprint velocity, and quality indicators
5. Export reports as PDF or CSV for stakeholder sharing (available on Recommended and Enterprise plans)

## Tutorial 5: Connect Your Platforms

1. Navigate to **Settings > Integrations**
2. Select your platform to integrate
3. Click **Connect**
4. Enter your API key details
5. Select the projects/repos to sync with your [Scrums.com](https://www.scrums.com) workspace where applicable
6. Click **Save** — your delivery metrics will now appear in your [Scrums.com](https://www.scrums.com) project view
