# Billing & Usage

> How usage is measured and billing is calculated on the Scrums.com platform.

## Overview

Scrums.com uses a transparent, subscription-based billing model. This page explains how each billing type works and how to track your usage.

## Billing terms

All projects are invoiced on the **1st of every month** as per the relevant Order Form. The terms below apply to the corresponding products and services.

**Subscription Services**

* Subscription capacity is allocated per billing period as specified in the Order Form
* Included capacity expires at the end of each billing period
* Unused capacity does not roll over unless explicitly stated in the Order Form

**Hourly Services**

* You are invoiced for actual hours delivered each month. At the end of each quarter, Scrums.com runs a reconciliation — unused billed hours are credited and any hours worked but not yet billed are invoiced
* Where an Order Form specifies a monthly cap, only approved hours up to that cap are invoiced
* Hours exceeding the cap require prior written approval
* Detailed timesheets are available on request at the end of each quarter

**Usage-Based Services**

* Fees are calculated from actual measured consumption of the service
* Usage may include cloud infrastructure, API calls, automated workflow execution, agent activity, compute, or similar operational events
* Usage-based charges may include platform management, orchestration, or governance fees as specified in the Order Form

**Seat-Based Services**

* Each seat represents licensed access or dedicated capacity allocated to a user, system, or service unit
* Seats are billed at the rates specified in the Order Form

**Prepaid or Credit Capacity Blocks**

* Prepaid capacity represents pre-purchased service credits applied against eligible services
* Included capacity expires at the end of each billing period
* Unused prepaid capacity does not roll over unless explicitly agreed in writing in the Order Form

## The 20% management fee

For usage-based products — cloud infrastructure, API usage, and hourly talent — Scrums.com adds a 20% fee to the base cost. This covers:

* Delivery governance and platform access
* Operational oversight and monitoring
* Vetting, contracting, and HR management
* Performance support and replacement guarantees

## Viewing your usage

Navigate to **Settings > Billing** to view:

* Active subscriptions and renewal dates
* Current month's consumption for usage-based products
* Prepaid balance and remaining hours for any active blocks
* Invoice history with downloadable PDFs

## Adding or changing your subscription

To add new seats, upgrade your platform tier, or add a managed service, contact your Enablement Partner. Changes to subscriptions are processed within one business day and reflected in your next billing cycle.

<Note>
  Speak to your Account Executive or Enablement Partner for pricing specific to your scope. Published rates apply to standard configurations; custom arrangements are available on Enterprise.
</Note>

## Cancellation

To cancel your subscription, go to **Settings → Billing → Cancel** and follow the cancellation process.

<Warning>
  All cancellations not executed through the platform cancellation flow will be null and void. Refer to your MSA for full cancellation terms.
